Swimming Lessons At YMCA Pools

Did you know that, Room’s Fifteen and Seventeen went swimming? We walked all the way to the pools. We are going swimming for two weeks. As soon as we walked inside, the smell of chemicals and chlorine got in me. As quickly as I could I got changed and I went to have a shower. Quietly I walked past the big pools. When we walked in the pools we did some swimming lessons where we have to do a star fish . I had my goggles on, and I could see underneath water. We went three times in a circle and we got changed. On Thursday we had another teacher called Miss Owano. Moala and I got to swim for one hour. We had so much fun in the water, and then we swam with out the flutter board. At last we had to get out. When I got out I was freezing cold and I was also dripping wet.

Tower Challenge

Do you know what? Room fourteen and fifteen split up. When we were split, we had to find three or four people to make the tower with. Mya and Jouan, Cheyaane and I were a team.

We made the tower with newspapers. Then we rolled the paper and we got sellotape to tape it together. We made four paper rolls. But we had to make it stable. To make it stable we folded the paper, sellotaped it and then we had no time to make it. Then Cheyanne scrunched it up. I felt like we wont be able to make it.

My Term 1 Movie

Camp

Do you know what? We went camp last week. It was so much fun. We had teams. I was in Mrs Vafusanga and our team leaders were Alexandria and Logan . It was called All Stars.


Do you know about my favourite thing at camp? My favourite thing was the hydroslide. The water was shallow and it was scary because it was dark and it went fast. It was fun.

We went to swim in the pool. There was a fountain with warm water. It was exiting there. I think camp is fun.

Christchurch Earthquake

When the earthquake happened lots of the buildings in Christchurch were demolished. After the huge earthquake lots of people were homeless. As the after shocks kept coming every hour the buildings slowly turned into rubble.

It was tragic and sad for the people in Christchurch when the buildings collapsed. The children in Christchurch evacuated from their schools, so they wouldn’t get trapped. Doctors in Christchurch had to help people. They were heart broken. The people were helping each other.

Baseball with Cola

Every Thursday rm 15 go to play baseball with Cola at the bottom field. We had two teams one was Cola and the second was Pepsi. I was in Pepsi. The Pepsi was first in bating and the cola did the fielding.

When it was my turn I felt nervous. I thought that I would lose. Then I did it because some of us bat the ball to slow. So they have to get it and throw it who ever is on the base form the team. If they get the ball they tag us with the ball.

Then when ever body was finish from Pepsi we went to do fielding and the cola group went to do bating. When a ball came close to me I felt scared.

Holiday Highlights

Amazing rides and games hearing my cousins talk about fun fest.I was excited because it had free rides like the hurricane kamikaze,rock n roll and round up which were the scary rides .
But they were not that scary .

When all of us said we were ready to go my uncle said he would drop us off. The next day we woke up early and went to the Funfest. When we went we went with Mohammed and Mubasshira and her two big sisters.firstly we went on the hurricane which I enjoyed because it.Felt like I was in the air.Then we went on the Kamikaze.When we sat down i sat with my older cousins and Mohammed sat with his sister.When it started it went slow,but Then it went so fast that.I started screaming.I kept saying is it finished?".Finally it ended.later on we went to buy an ice cream. Because it was so hot.
