Inside Holidays

My picture is about what I did in the long holidays. I have drawn the Panmure library because I was there for most of the time.

How was your holiday? Mine was super boring because I didn't go somewhere in the sun too much. I stayed inside, sometimes in the library or inside my house.  But I love spending time looking after my brother, mostly going to the library because it is peaceful and I enjoy reading books.

Manaiakalani

Have you seen Pt England’s Manaiakalani movies. Well the movies are made by the really talented young people from Tamaki. My favourite movie was room 20’s. It was called Count On Me. I liked it because the song was about being friends with every one.

And my second best one was room 15’s. Because it was about Billy T James. It was a really funny comedy. People really enjoyed watching it.

At School

Do you know what we do at school. At morning teas and lunch times we go to the library. We put away the books where their supposed to go, and we clean the shelves. The library monitors are Jouan, Mohammed, Hajera, Moala, Britney and I. Hajera is the head librarian.

We sometimes play games, like we get a green sticker and we have to tag another person with it. We sometimes hide ourselves on top of the beanbags. And we play other games and we color in a colouring books.

Making Cushions

This is my material that I am going to sew my cushions with.

Motat Trip

Thursday the 30 of June, we went Motat. The classes that went Motat were room 15, room 16 and room 17. We had groups that we had to go in, I was in my cousins group Faheema. When we came to Motat we got out of the bus. A man took us by a train that was sitting there, that was our lunch place.

After morning tea our group went to the mirror maze. It was scary because we could only see mirrors around the whole maze. After that we went to the Victorian village. We went to an old jail that they used to have and inside there was a man who looked like he was dead.

After lunch we went to the challenge zone. There was a fun game it was called momentum machine, it is a leg spinning game. When I was walking past I saw a fire station and then we went to the tactile dome. It is so dark like we had put our hands over our eyes. I was with Taamai and Mohammed. I kept following the wall, but when we had to climb the net it was slippery because I had my socks on. When I finished climbing the net I could not find anything, I was stuck there. I found a slide that I did not know if it is right or not. Some people screamed “help”, then we found our way back.

This whole experience was exciting and I learnt how people used to live and lots of information to help me with our topic Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger.

This is how my design is when I painted it. The thing that went wrong was the purple. There Was not enough so I had to use another purple. I had to go over the purple.

Making Cushions

This is my drawing on a piece of a cotton. It was hard to draw on cotton because when we draw the cotton moves. So we have to put our hands on it to hold it.
